IKM Building Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled BIM Drafter to join our Preconstruction team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in CAD and BIM software who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys turning engineering concepts into precise, buildable designs.

• Prepare detailed CAD and BIM drawings for buildings and structures based on engineering specifications
• Collaborate with design engineers to translate sketches and concepts into technical drawings
• Create fabrication, assembly, foundation, and elevation drawings, along with supporting documents like bills of materials and installation steps
• Ensure accuracy and clarity across all drawings by coordinating with internal departments
• Participate in design layout and problem‑solving discussions with the engineering team
• Support material ordering and vendor coordination
• Occasionally perform field activities and attend department meetings

• Minimum 2 years of drafting experience, preferably in mechanical design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (latest version), Navisworks, Revit, Bluebeam, and FTP systems
• General understanding of mechanical engineering principles and sheet/structural metal design
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain organized, error‑free documentation

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate’s degree in drafting or related field preferred

• Primarily office‑based with standard equipment
• Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs) and filing tasks
• Moderate travel between IKM’s branch locations in Green Bay, Milwaukee, and Madison
