Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT​/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift contract position requiring RRT certification and 5 years of experience treating adult and NICU patients.

• RRT certification required
• BLS and ACLS required for adult RT; BLS and NRP required for NICU RT
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 5 years of experience required
• Minimum 12 months of core experience in unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• Adult RT skills: ABG draws, assisting with intubations, BIPAP, CPAP, nebulizer treatments, ventilator management, and inhaler administration
• NICU RT skills: intubation, ventilator management, delivery attendance, nitric oxide administration, BIPAP, CPAP, and nebulizer treatments
• EPIC experience required
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Respiratory Therapy Services unit within a hospital serving all respiratory patient types, including adult and NICU populations
• Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level III Perinatal Center, and Primary Stroke Center
• 12-hour night shift, , with 36 standard hours per week
• Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend
• On-call required for NICU RTs with a varied schedule; no on-call for adult RTs
• NICU RTs may float between two facility campuses in rotation
• Holiday coverage per department rotation standards
• EMR: EPIC
• Uses Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Capsule Neuron technology
• Two-day facility and unit orientation provided
• 24/7 hospitalist and neonatologist coverage on-site, with dedicated PT, OT, and ST support for NICU
• Charge nurse provides free-floating support
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Free parking available in the East parking structure
• First-time travelers considered upon review
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
