Job Description
I have an opening for our Babbitt Tech position. This needs to be someone willing to work in a harsh environment. It gets hot in this area during summer.
Responsibilities- Utilize hand tools, tape measures, and grinders.
- Melting out parts.
- Use of oxy/acetalene torches.
- Sand blasting.
- Assembling parts.
- Picking out fixtures.
- Directing if fixtures need to be modified.
- Casting of parts using a 600°F tin tank and pouring 800°F babbitt.
- Candidates must be able to work independently, be a problem solver and be responsible.
- Preferably someone with foundry experience, possibly in a lead role.
- Ability to work in a harsh environment and under heat.
1st shift position with overtime available. Must be available to work Saturdays.
Potential for becoming the lead person in this department.
Starting wage: $20 - $25 pending skills.
