General Information
o Beds: 18 LDR, 3 Triage, 3 ORs for C-section, 3 OB-ED rooms
o Will you accept a traveler with 1 year experience? 2 Year
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
o Avg deliveries/day:10, numbers can vary
Limited scheduled procedures (CS, Induction of Labor, other OB procedures) to maximum of 7/day
No C-Sections scheduled on Sunday
Patient Types:
o 18 weeks gestational age & clinic patients
o Intrapartum (labor, delivery, & recovery)
o Antepartum 22 weeks and greater
o High Risk: pre eclampsia, hyperemesis, DM
o Scheduled and unscheduled C-Sections, cerclage placement and removal, tubal ligation
o D&C (when needed for post-delivery bleeding control)
o Travelers will not have to work in the OB triage area
Patient Ratios:
o RN:
1:1 active labor, C-section, and recovery of mom/baby couplet after newborn stabilization
1:2 laboring
1:2 cervical ripening, early labor
1:2-3 stable antepartum patients
2:1 care at delivery
1 RN for mom, 1 RN for baby until baby is stable
