Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring items are not damaged and using best practices for different types of bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer questions, and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Follow all legal and company guidelines, work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, and manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer Service skills
• Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Retail experience preferred but not necessary
