Job Responsibilities For Parts Counter Sales Representative
- Handle parts order requests via telephone, e-mail, or in-person
- Utilize manufacturer and vendor catalogs to locate parts for customers, internal and external
- Advise customers on related parts
- Follow up on backordered parts, and contact customer with status
- Ensure that inventory control practices are followed
- Communicate with Parts Manager on inventory issues
- Communicate with Service Department regarding parts availability and pricing
- Provide solutions for the needs of our customers
- Assist with other projects as needed
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of heavy truck/auto parts or shop experience
- Mechanical aptitude, desired
- Customer service skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
