Behavior Technician
Wisconsin Early Autism Project (WEAP) – a child‑centered ABA provider dedicated to helping children with autism reach their full potential.
About the RoleAs a Behavior Technician you will work in families’ homes or at our centers to provide play‑based ABA therapy to children 18 months‑to‑6 years old. The position is entry‑level but offers rapid career progression and ongoing skill development.
Responsibilities- Implement ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a board‑certified behavior analyst.
- Collect and record data on child behavior and skill acquisition.
- Engage children in therapeutic activities that promote communication, socialization, and self‑help skills.
- Create a supportive, compassionate environment for children and their families.
- Collaborate with ABA teams and parents to track progress and adjust interventions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age 18.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation; morning, afternoon, or evening availability for a consistent weekly schedule.
- Strong interest and basic knowledge of autism and applied behavior analysis.
- Bi‑lingual with English/Spanish fluency.
- Background in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, or related fields.
- Experience working with children in any capacity (babysitter, tutor, coach, etc.).
- Motivation to pursue a career in behavior analysis or related behavioral health professions.
- Paid time off: up to 15 days after 90 days of full‑time employment.
- Part‑time employees eligible for sick leave.
- Potential for promotions within three months.
- On‑the‑job training and professional development in ABA.
- Earn $17 /hr to begin, with increases based on experience.
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds, and to sit, stoop, stand, walk, and run as needed during sessions.
