Receptionist (Maternity Cover) – Cygnet Raglan House

Cygnet Group is looking for a friendly, professional Receptionist (Maternity Cover) with a passion for making a difference to join our team at Cygnet Raglan House.
This role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave.
At Cygnet Raglan House, you will be working 40 hours per week, with shifts and weekends, helping to provide a safe, welcoming environment for colleagues, visitors and the people in our care.
About Cygnet Raglan HouseCygnet Raglan House is a 25‑bed high‑support inpatient rehabilitation (level
2) service for women. The service is designed to provide an environment that promotes mental‑health recovery by focusing on space, personal privacy and dignity. Women admitted to the service often come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or are stepping down from secure settings. We are dedicated to understanding, stabilising and breaking the traumatic cycles of relapse that can impact individuals’ lives.
Our service has been designed with wellness in mind, providing a safe and comfortable environment that promotes efficient rehabilitation and recovery.
- Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience.
- Greet visitors and notify the appropriate member of staff of their arrival.
- Ensure visitors sign in and out, and that patients leaving and returning are recorded appropriately.
- Answer and transfer all incoming calls and take messages where appropriate.
- Sort and distribute post.
- Assist with general office duties as required.
- Keep the reception area clean and tidy.
- Promote the safety and security of all site users and ensure all staff comply with security protocols.
- Salary: £28,050 per annum.

- Experienced receptionist/administrator accustomed to working with customers/clients, ideally within the healthcare sector.
- Organised, naturally helpful and a good multi‑tasker.
- Computer literate – including Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook or equivalent.
- Knowledgeable of telephone systems and maintaining a professional telephone manner.
- Polite, friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills.
- GCSE Maths and English qualified, with a good level of numeracy and literacy.
- Diligent and accurate, with an eye for detail and an understanding of confidentiality.
Please note that successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
