This is a full-time, on-site Tyre Fitter role based in England, United Kingdom. The Tyre Fitter is responsible for fitting, removing, and replacing tyres on a variety of vehicles, including balancing and checking tyre pressures to ensure safe operation. Typical tasks include inspecting tyres for wear and damage, advising customers on suitable tyre options, and ensuring all work is completed to safety and quality standards.
The role involves using workshop equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and following company procedures for vehicle handling and customer service. The Tyre Fitter will work as part of a small team, supporting colleagues during busy periods and contributing to a positive, professional workshop environment.
- Practical experience in tyre fitting, wheel balancing, and puncture repairs, ideally in a retail or automotive workshop setting.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles, including safe use of lifting equipment, tools, and workshop machinery.
- Strong focus on health and safety, with the ability to follow procedures and guidelines to protect customers, colleagues, and vehicles.
- Good customer service skills, including clear communication, polite interaction, and the ability to explain tyre options and work performed.
- Ability to work on your feet, handle manual tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively within a small team, including occasional weekend or extended hours as required.
- Full, valid UK driving license preferred; prior experience in an automotive or tyre retail environment is an advantage.
