We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a reputable main dealership in Birmingham. This Vehicle Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to develop their career within a busy automotive environment. The successful Vehicle Technician will be responsible for maintaining high standards of workmanship, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.
Benefits of a Vehicle Technician:- Competitive basic salary of approximately £30,000, based on experience and qualifications
- OTE of £35,000+ inclusive of bonuses
- Full manufacturer training and ongoing professional development
- Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am-5:00pm
- One in three Saturdays paid at time and a half
- Opportunity to work within an established main dealership workshop

Duties as a Vehicle Technician:
- Conduct routine servicing and maintenance following manufacturer guidelines
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and technical faults efficiently and accurately
- Carry out vehicle inspections and identify additional work requirements
- Prepare used vehicles for sale, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Complete work within specified time frames, ensuring high standards of quality
- Maintain accurate workshop documentation and job records
- Collaborate with team members to promote a productive workshop environment
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and manufacturer repair standards
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership or busy automotive workshop
- Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and repair skills
- Experience with servicing, repairs, and used vehicle preparation
- Methodical approach to fault-finding and problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and efficiently as part of a team
- A valid MOT Testing Licence is desirable but not essential
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering quality work and customer service
