Technical Sales Manager

Overview

POST Recruitment is recruiting for a proven Technical Sales Manager for a leading niche metals business that is under new ownership and investment as of 2025. While sector experience is not specifically required, a proven sales background working with bespoke technical specification will be essential.

• Sales & Business Development Manage and grow international and UK sales pipelines, identify new business opportunities across key markets, deliver technical sales support, develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision‑makers and attend manufacturing trade shows.
• Costing, Pricing & Quotation Management Conduct material costing and pricing analysis, collaborate with production and technical teams to develop cost‑effective solutions, negotiate commercial terms and pricing with customers while maintaining profitability.
• Operational & Technical Coordination Provide ongoing technical support to customers, work closely with internal departments to ensure customer expectations are met through efficient production planning and quality assurance, and manage import and export shipments with full logistics compliance.
• Supplier & Procurement Management Negotiate deals with UK and international suppliers, oversee purchasing activities to secure materials and services at optimal cost and quality, and monitor supplier performance to support a reliable supply chain.
• Administration & Reporting Manage sales administration including CRM updates, order processing and customer communications, prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and performance analyses for senior management, and ensure all sales activities are aligned with company policies and commercial objectives.
