Legal Counsel – Contract Management at FICO

We are looking for an experienced legal professional to join our dynamic legal team. As part of FICO’s world-class organization, you will provide practical and solution-oriented legal advice, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and play a vital role in achieving business goals.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and translate various agreements, including sales, services, subcontract, software, procurement, and non-disclosure contracts.

• Review and modify contract terms related to liability, intellectual property, indemnities, license grants, and warranties in alignment with FICO policies.

• Support sales and business teams with RFP processes and contract approvals.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (products, services, finance) for contract-related activities.

• Maintain and update contract templates, provide guidance on contract interpretation, and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Identify potential risks in transactions and seek appropriate approvals to mitigate them.

• Juris Doctor degree with an active law license in good standing in any jurisdiction.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in software licensing or corporate legal departments.

• Expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and management.

• Strong understanding of U.S. intellectual property laws related to software.

• Ability to assess risks and provide strategic legal advice.
