Business Development, Office Administrator/ Coordinator
Join a leading UK manufacturer of bespoke contract furniture.
Established in 1983, Jameson Seating manufactures high quality bespoke furniture for hotels, luxury care homes, retirement living, restaurants, bars, leisure venues and commercial interiors throughout the UK.
As our business continues to evolve, we're strengthening our commercial team and are looking for an organised, commercially minded individual to help support our continued growth.
This isn't a traditional administration role. You'll become involved in every stage of a project, from the initial enquiry through to delivery and installation, working with customers across the UK and suppliers throughout Europe.
If you're looking for a varied role with genuine career progression and the opportunity to become an important part of a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
The RoleWorking alongside our Directors and commercial team, you'll play a key role in delivering furniture projects from enquiry through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing furniture quotations and cost estimates.
- Sourcing products from our network of UK and European manufacturers.
- Liaising with overseas suppliers to obtain quotations, technical information and lead times.
- Negotiating supplier pricing and ensuring the best commercial outcome for the business.
- Managing supplier relationships and monitoring orders through to delivery.
- Coordinating imported products alongside our own UK manufacturing.
- Ordering fabrics, finishes and bought-in furniture.
- Communicating with customers throughout their projects via telephone, email and site visits.
- Visiting customer sites to measure up, discuss projects and attend meetings when required.
- Working closely with our factory team to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Assisting with project administration, scheduling and customer support.
- Learning our estimating, manufacturing and commercial processes with a view to taking on greater responsibility over time.
No two days are the same. One day you could be obtaining prices from European manufacturers, the next visiting a customer on site before returning to prepare quotations for a luxury care home or hotel project.

- Happy travelling throughout the UK when required.

An interest in furniture, design, interiors or manufacturing would be advantageous, although full product training will be provided.
We're looking for someone who wants to build a long term career rather than simply find their next job.
As your knowledge and confidence develop, you'll have the opportunity to take on increasing commercial responsibility, including:
- Managing your own customer accounts.
- Carrying out site surveys and project consultations.
- Preparing commercial proposals and specifications.
- Building relationships with designers, contractors and end users.

We routinely work 8-4pm Monday to Thursday finishing at around 3pm on a Friday.
While this is a full time, office based role, we understand that life doesn't always fit neatly around working hours.
We're a family run business and believe in treating people like adults. If you need to attend an appointment, do the school run, or leave early occasionally, we'll always do our best to be flexible.
What matters to us is commitment, communication and getting the job done. In return, you'll be part of a supportive team where…
