Position: Inclusion lead Teacher (Temporary)
Location: Oldbury

Smile education are looking for an Inclusion lead teacher with a SENCO qualification to join a dynamic school in the Oldbury area, where they provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for pupils with a range of complex needs.

Our client school is committed to delivering outstanding education and care to pupils aged 4–11 with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. They pride themselves on their supportive staff culture, child-centred approach, and strong community partnerships. the school are very flexible with the role ranging from 3-5 days a week

The Role:

As Inclusion lead, you will play a key leadership role in shaping their SEN provision, working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, external professionals and families to ensure each pupil receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the SEN provision across the school in line with the SEND Code of Practice
Work closely with teaching staff to support high-quality inclusive teaching and learning
Coordinate EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) processes and reviews
Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEN interventions and provision
Liaise with external agencies, parents/carers, and the local authority
Provide training and guidance to staff on SEND strategies and best practices

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) and SENCo qualification (or willingness to undertake)
Proven experience working with children with special educational needs
Strong leadership and communication skills
A passion for inclusive education and improving outcomes for all learners
Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities
