The Governors of Highfields Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Practitioner (LSP) to join our committed team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. The successful candidate will have proven experience working with both individuals and groups of pupils across a range of abilities and needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, are essential.
This is a full-time, permanent position focused on supporting learning within the classroom and delivering targeted interventions. You will work collaboratively with teachers and other practitioners to provide an engaging and inclusive curriculum tailored to pupils’ needs. A sound understanding of the Primary curriculum and the ability to motivate and inspire learners to achieve their full potential—both academically and socially—are key to success in this role.
EssentialRequirements:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
- At least 12 months’ experience in a classroom setting.
The successful candidate will:
- be passionate about children’s learning and have an inclusive approach to all aspects of learning and teaching;
- have experience in using MAPA, Makaton, PECS, Widget, Precision Teaching, TEACCH;

32.5 hours per week, Term Time plus 5 INSET days
Grade:Grade D, SCP 9-17 (£27,254-£31,022 p.a.) - Actual Salary £21,361-£24,943 p.a.
