Pay Range

Post: SEND Support Assistant
Location: Shireland Biomedical UTC
Salary: Band D SCP 9-17 £ 27,255 - £31,022 per annum pro rata (Actual salary £15,107 - £17,268 per annum)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (Mon–Wed 8am-4pm), term time + 2 weeks

Responsibilities
  • Work with individual and small groups of students to promote their inclusion and provide support for teaching and personalised learning.
  • Support secondary school age students to reinforce learning, motivate them and help them achieve their potential.
  • Apply a secure understanding of the learning process and what motivates young people in their learning.
  • Build relationships with people of all ages and backgrounds; demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
