Science Teacher Specification

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and qualified Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Birmingham area. This full-time role is set to begin in November 2025 and is initially a temporary position, with a strong potential to become permanent.

The successful candidate will be confident teaching General Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with specialisms in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics welcomed. You will be committed to delivering high-quality lessons, encouraging curiosity, and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lesson
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
A passion for Science education and student progress
Safeguarding Level 1 trained (we can support with this if needed)
Valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
