Position: After School Club Support Worker – The Federation of Abbey Infant and Junior School
Location: Smethwick

After School Club Support Worker

Term‑Time Only

Hours

Monday to Friday
3.00 pm – 5.00 pm
10 hours per week

Salary

Grade B, Scale Point 3–4
£24,796 – £25,185 FTE (Pro‑rata Salary £5,851 – £5,942)

Responsibilities

Encourage and engage with children, providing a safe, stimulating environment for 3–11‑year‑olds. Organise games and enrichment activities in line with the school’s policy. Work as part of a team, building positive relationships with staff, parents and pupils.

Qualifications

Minimum Level 2 Early Years Childcare and / or Play Qualification, or willingness to work towards it. Prefer recent experience of a Breakfast or After School Club setting. Appointment as a First Aider with training to deliver an excellent service.

Requirements

Enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references. Ability to speak fluent and spoken English (Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016). Pre‑employment checks in line with KCSIE.
