Maths Academic Coach – Immediate Start
Smile Education are recruiting for a Maths Academic Coach to join a secondary school in West Bromwich for the remainder of the academic year. This role is ideal for anyone who enjoys Maths, is confident working with young people, and is looking for a rewarding role where they can make a real impact.
No teaching experience is required – full training and support will be provided. Applicants from any background will be considered, including graduates, tutors, coaches, instructors, support staff, youth workers, childcare providers and individuals with strong Maths skills looking for a career change.
About the Role- Support pupils in Maths at KS3 and KS4
- Work with individuals and small groups to boost confidence and attainment
- Assist with intervention sessions and revision activities
- Reinforce core numeracy and GCSE Maths skills
- Encourage positive engagement and motivation in lessons
- Work closely with teaching staff to support learning across the department
This is a full-time role starting immediately and will continue until July.

We are open to applicants who are:
- Confident with Maths (A-Level or equivalent preferred)
- Positive, reliable and enthusiastic
- Good communicators who enjoy working with others
- Interested in education, coaching or youth development
- Keen to learn, develop and take on training
This role would suit individuals with experience in:
- Tutoring, coaching or mentoring
- Youth work or childcare
- University academic support roles
- Sports coaching
- Customer-facing or people-focused roles
- Or simply those who have a strong academic background in Maths and want to help young people succeed
- Enhanced DBS (can be processed if needed)
- Full-time availability preferred
- Maths confidence at GCSE and above
