About the Role

Charlotte at Connex Education is seeking a committed and experienced KS2 Supply Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Oldbury area of Sandwell.

This is a long-term supply position for the remainder of the academic year, teaching a Year 5 class. The class includes pupils with additional needs, so experience supporting children with SEND within a mainstream setting is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will:

Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners

Effectively manage behaviour using consistent and supportive strategies

Adapt teaching approaches to support pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs

Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff and leadership team

Monitor, assess and track pupil progress

This role would suit a confident and adaptable teacher who is passionate about raising attainment and ensuring every child achieves their potential.

Role Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable)

Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum

Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream classroom

Excellent behaviour management skills

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through Connex Education
