Level 3+ Teaching Assistant – Specialist SEN & SEMH School

Pay: £95 – £115 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Full-time, Monday to Friday – Long-term opportunity ASAP START

Smile Education is working in partnership with a large specialist SEN primary school in B68 seeking a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant (or above) to support pupils with complex needs including SEMH and physical disabilities.
This role is suited to a highly qualified support professional who is confident working with children who require structured, consistent and specialist support.

Pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and complex disabilities
Specialist facilities including sensory integration rooms and therapeutic spaces

The Role
Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
Assist with differentiated and adapted curriculum delivery
Support communication, sensory and mobility needs
Provide personal care where required
Follow behaviour plans and therapeutic strategies
Record pupil progress and feedback to teaching staff
Contribute to a safe, structured and supportive learning environment Requirements
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or above) – Essential
Proven experience within a specialist SEN or SEMH school
Experience supporting pupils with physical or complex disabilities
Confident managing challenging behaviour
Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
Resilient, professional and highly reliable
Two references covering the past two years
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one Applicants without a level 3 qualification or higher in Teaching assistant will not be progessed to interview stage (No health and social care)
