We are working with a group of special schools and provisions based in the West Midlands, committed to providing inclusive, personalised learning that enables every pupil to thrive. These settings support learners with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and are passionate about delivering innovative, engaging and accessible science education for all.
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding science teaching professional to take a leadership role in curriculum development, pedagogy, and staff support across multiple settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Model and deliver outstanding teaching in science across key stages, adapting practice to meet the needs of learners with diverse abilities and SEND needs.
* Lead, inspire and support colleagues through coaching, mentoring, modelling and collaborative planning to raise the quality of teaching and learning.
* Develop strong, inclusive science curricula and teaching resources, ensuring accessibility, progression and challenge for all pupils.
* Lead high-quality CPD and contribute to professional development across the group.
* Monitor pupil progress and evaluate impact, using data to drive improvement.
* Work collaboratively with senior leaders to support strategic development and school improvement priorities.
Person Specification
* An experienced and highly effective teacher of science with a strong track record of impact.
* Excellent knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies and curriculum design.
* A passion for inclusive education and adapting learning for pupils with SEND.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, inspire and develop colleagues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
