An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sacred Heart Primary School for an SEMH Lead Professional. We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and experienced person to join us.
Sacred Heart Primary School is a two form-entry primary school in Tipton for children from 3 to 11 years of age.

The Governors at Sacred Heart Primary School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated SEMH Lead.
Responsibilities- Have high expectations and a positive outlook
- Have experience of leading an SEMH Hub
- To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupil’s achievement, progress and development.
- Responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or management of other teaching assistants including allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal and training.
- Assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupil’s learning
- Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
- Develop and implement interventions according to Pupil Passports/EHCPs and Learning Plans
- Such other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post.
- Take the initiative as appropriate to develop multi agency approaches to supporting children
- Recognise own strengths and areas of specialist expertise and use these to lead, advise and support others.
- Manage other teaching assistants. Liaise with Managers/SENDCo/teaching staff and teaching assistants
- Hold regular team meetings with managed staff/inclusion Manager and SENDCo
- Other duties which may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post.
