Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: West Bromwich
Pay Rate: £95.95 - £109.36
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5 to 16 in West Bromwich
. This role will focus on supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including placements in alternative provision settings
.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant
, you will play a key role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them access their education and build emotional resilience
, academic progress
, and positive behaviour
. You’ll work closely with teachers and other support staff in a nurturing and structured classroom environment that promotes a positive learning experience for students with complex needs.

Requirements:

• Experience working with SEMH students or in a similar setting
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient
  , adaptable
  , and compassionate approach to supporting students
• Ability to assist in the delivery of tailored learning activities and behaviour interventions
• Experience in alternative provision or similar environments is beneficial
