Position: Primary Teacher Job - 1 year contract

Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Smethwick to recruit an experienced Class Teacher for a 1-year fixed term contract, starting in September 2026. Your new role
You will join a committed and supportive team, delivering high-quality teaching and learning to primary-aged pupils. The role is ideal for an experienced classroom practitioner who can make an immediate impact and contribute positively to pupil outcomes. This will be in LKS3 (Year 3 or Year
4). You will take on the full teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessments, marking and parents evening etc.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching within a primary school setting
Strong classroom management and the ability to deliver engaging lessons
A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and pupil progress
Previous members of SLT looking to return to a classroom-focused role are encouraged to apply
