Monarch Education is recruiting Resource Base Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs in a primary school in Cradley Heath.
Role Overview- Support pupils within a Resource Base provision
- Work with pupils with SEN
, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs - Adapt learning tasks to meet individual needs
- Support development of literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
- Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support
- Support integration into mainstream lessons where appropriate
- Promote independence and engagement
- Work with teachers and SEN staff
- Monitor and report on pupil progress
- Deliver support in line with EHCPs and individual learning plans
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
- Implement behaviour and support strategies
- Maintain structure and routine within the Resource Base
- Support transitions throughout the school day
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is essential
- Experience supporting SEN in an education setting
- Experience with primary-aged pupils
- Minimum 12 weeks’ UK school experience
- Understanding of behaviour support strategies
- Ability to follow structured support plans
- Ability to work as part of a team
