Senior Leaders are seeking to appoint a committed and skilled Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive team. This role will require experience working with children and supporting their learning needs and will involve supporting individual children or small groups of children to access learning, while supporting our whole school value of inclusion. At Rood End Primary we believe that everyone is a teacher of SEND, therefore your role as LSA will require you to support children with additional needs.

Responsibilities
  • Support children with additional needs in accessing learning, individually or in small groups.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and support workers to plan and deliver lessons.
  • Contribute to the safeguarding of children, including completing relevant checks.
  • Maintain and update student records and support plans.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children and supporting learning needs.
  • High standard of spoken and written English and good numeracy skills.
  • Fluency in spoken English (essential requirement).
  • Eligible for an enhanced DBS check and Children's Barring List check.
  • Understanding of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
