Level Teaching Assistant; PPA Cover - Park Primary School

Overview

Old Park Primary is looking for an enthusiastic and committed HLTA to join our successful team. The candidate must be flexible and available to start as soon as possible, subject to satisfactory clearances.

Our school provides an excellent start for nursery through Year 6, supports a high number of children with SEND, and is proud of the progress our children make. The role involves teaching whole classes, covering teachers for PPA, participating in management time, training and other school development requirements, and providing feedback to children in line with our feedback policy. Excellent classroom management is vital.

• Teach whole classes from nursery to Year 6.
• Cover teachers for PPA.
• Participate in management time and training.
• Provide feedback to children following our feedback policy.
• Maintain excellent classroom management.

HLTA qualification and proven teaching experience.

Commitment to safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children; successful applicants must undertake relevant safeguarding checks, an enhanced DBS check and a Children’s Barring List Check. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Applicants must speak fluent and spoken English; this post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, Term‑time plus 5 training days.

Grade: Grade E SCP 18‑25 £ 31,537‑£36,363 p.a. (Actual salary £24,824‑£29,483 p.a.)
