Are you a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner looking for a full-time role within a supportive Primary School environment?
A welcoming Primary School in Tipton is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a long‑term basis from September. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly and inclusive school, supporting children within the Nursery class throughout the academic year. The role is based within a nurturing Early Years setting, supporting young children during a key stage of their development.
You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school staff to provide a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment. The role will involve providing targeted support for three children with high SEND needs, alongside offering general classroom support to ensure all pupils can access learning and thrive within the Nursery setting.
The school is looking for a warm, reliable, and adaptable Nursery Practitioner with a relevant Early Years qualification, previous experience working within an Early Years setting, and confidence supporting children with additional needs. Experience working with pupils with SEND would be highly beneficial.
Responsibilities- Supporting children through play‑based and structured learning activities
- Assisting with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
- Providing dedicated support for three children with high SEND needs
- Supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development
- Encouraging communication, independence, and positive behaviour
- Supporting personal care routines where required
- Working alongside the class teacher to provide general classroom support
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet the individual needs of all children
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times
- Previous experience working within a Nursery or Early Years setting
- A relevant Early Years qualification – minimum Level 2
- Experience supporting children with SEND or additional learning needs
- Experience supporting personal care where required
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A reliable and professional attitude
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development
- Competitive daily rate, between £92.56 to £100 per day, based on previous experience
- Holiday pay – PAYE candidates accrue 12.07% of their day rate
