Smethwick, Birmingham B67 Daily Rate: £110 - 120 Days:
Monday to Friday (Term Time Only), 08:30 - 15:30

Long-Term temporary, multiple positions available Are you a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference?

We have several full-time opportunities supporting pupils with Autism (ASD) and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN) on Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) within a welcoming primary school in Smethwick.

Working on a 1:1 basis across Years 2, 3, 4 and 5, you'll help pupils access learning, develop confidence and achieve their individual targets within their mainstream classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with ASD and SLCN.
  • Delivering tailored interventions and adapting learning activities.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, communication and independence.
  • Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Recording progress and supporting EHCP outcomes.
What We're Looking For
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a relevant subject.
  • Has experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD and/or SLCN.
  • Is patient, proactive and able to build positive relationships.
  • Can commit to a full-time role from September.
  • Has a genuine passion for helping children reach their potential.
