Class Teacher and EYFS Lead - Sacred Heart Primary School

Sacred Heart Primary School (SIPS), a two‑form entry primary school in Tipton, seeks an Exceptional Early Years Lead to combine high‑quality classroom practice with EYFS leadership responsibility. The successful candidate will take a leading role in the day‑to‑day management, organisation and development of the Nursery provision while contributing strategically to the wider EYFS phase.

• Lead and manage the day‑to‑day service for the Nursery provision, ensuring high quality teaching, learning and assessment.
• Support the EYFS team to maintain and enhance teaching standards.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with staff, families and external professionals, including support for children with SEND.

• Excellent class teacher with substantial experience leading EYFS.
• High expectations for themselves and learners.
• Successful collaboration as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum and the Early Years Assessment Framework.
• Read Write Inc trained (not essential).

• Enhanced DBS clearance, safeguarding checks and satisfactory references.
• Exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
• Capability to speak English (essential).
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment checks in line with KCSIE.

• Permanent from January 2027; full‑time class teacher with additional TLR 2A.
• Grade:
  Teachers Main Pay to Upper Pay Range £32,916 – £51,048 per annum plus TLR 2A (£3,527).
