Lunch Time Supervisor
OverviewThe Federation of Abbey Infant and Junior School is looking to recruit two Lunch Time Supervisors – one Permanent and one Fixed Term – to join our lunchtime team.
Key Responsibilities- Encourage and engage children during lunchtime.
- Work with young children with patience and enthusiasm.
- Organise games and activities in line with the school’s enrichment policy.
- Work as part of the team, forming positive relationships with adults and pupils.
- Supervise children before and after lunch and during playground duty.
- Enthusiastic and dedicated individual.
- Patience to work with young children.
- Willingness to organise games and activities.
- Ability to work within a team and maintain positive relationships.
- Competent spoken and written English – required under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
- Enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references required; pre‑employment checks in line with KCSIE.
- Hours:
7.08 hours per week (Standard Term Time Only) – 11.45 am to 1.10 pm. - Grade:
Band B, SCP 4 (salary £25,185 pro rata; £13.05 per hour; plus living wage supplement to £13.45 per hour from 1 April 2026). - Contract:
1 fixed‑term position ending 21 July 2027, and 1 permanent position. - Location:
The Federation of Abbey Infant and Junior School, Maurice Road, Smethwick, West Midlands, B67 5LR
and Barclay Road, Smethwick, West Midlands, B67 5LT
