‘Nurturing Hope and Ambition to Achieve and Succeed’ Rood End Primary is a 2-form entry primary school in Oldbury. We believe that our children and their families deserve the very best and, with determination and dedication, strive to provide this every day. The Senior Leadership Team of Rood End Primary are looking to appoint a friendly, reliable and efficient Midday Supervisory Assistant to work as part of our team.
The appointed person must enjoy working with children and want to work as part of an enthusiastic team to ensure that dinner-times are meaningful and enjoyable.
The successful candidate will also need to:
- Be physically fit to work in a busy school environment.
- Use their own initiative and be proactive and conscientious.
- Work as part of a team
- Have the patience to work with young children
- Be a good communicator and be able to communicate in English
- Enjoy working with and managing children
- Will be able to take part in and support play activities in the Playground
- Support children in the Dining Hall, promoting our school values at all times
- Have practical ability in, cleaning
- To be reliable, punctual and have excellent attendance.
- Possess a flexible and adaptable approach to working patterns and job tasks.
- Observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Business Manager via the Senior Supervisory Assistants.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake all relevant safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS check. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children's Barring List Check.

Hours:11.25 hours per week. 11:35am to 1:50pm Monday to Friday, term time only.
Grade: Grade B, SCP 4 (£25,185 p.a.) - Actual Salary £6,685 - £6,774 p.a.
