Teaching Assistant – Halesowen

Smile Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Halesowen, with an ASAP start.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils across all year groups
. This is a general classroom-based role
, rather than a dedicated 1:1 SEN position.

You will work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning, behaviour and development. There will be pupils with SEN within the classes and small groups you support, so experience or confidence in supporting children with additional needs would be beneficial not not essential.

• Teaching Assistant working across all primary year groups
• Providing general classroom and learning support
• Supporting pupils in class and within small groups
• Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities
• Supporting pupils with SEN as part of the wider classroom provision
• Helping to promote positive behaviour and engagement
• Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Working flexibly across different year groups and classes
• ASAP start

• Hold a Level 2 qualification or above relevant to working in a school/education setting
• Have previous experience working with children within a primary school
• Be enthusiastic, patient and nurturing
• Be confident supporting pupils across different year groups
• Have a positive approach to supporting children with additional needs
• Be adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Have a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
