Salary: £35,000 - £40,000;

We're supporting a growing organisation operating at the forefront of battery recycling and energy storage, playing a key role in extending battery life cycles and supporting the circular economy. They are looking to appoint a Battery & High Voltage Technician to support hands-on testing, balancing and discharge of battery systems. This is a practical, workshop-based role suited to someone with strong electrical fundamentals and experience working with EV or battery systems in a safety-critical environment.
Responsibilities- As a Battery & HV Technician, you'll be responsible for the safe testing, balancing and discharge of battery modules and systems, alongside maintaining and improving test equipment and processes.
- Balancing battery modules in series and parallel configurations to ensure safe, controlled discharge
- Fabricating, modifying and maintaining battery test and discharge equipment
- Installing and working with high-voltage battery systems in line with design specifications and safety standards
- Carrying out preventative maintenance on battery cycling and discharge stations
- Diagnosing faults, performing repairs and supporting troubleshooting activities
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, inspections and fault reports
- Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety and High Voltage safety regulations
- Contributing to continuous improvement of processes, equipment reliability and site safety
- Hands-on experience with EV or battery systems
- Strong practical electrical knowledge and fault-finding ability
- Methodical approach with a strong focus on safety
- Electrical qualification (NVQ or equivalent)
- High Voltage certification (Level 3 or Level
4) - IMI Level 4 training
- Experience in an EV technician, battery test or similar environment
- Salary of £35,000 - £40,000
