We’re excited to be recruiting a hands-on, driven
** EHS Specialist
** to help protect our people, our plant and our environment within a regulated chemical manufacturing site.

Reporting to the EHSS Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading compliance, strengthening our safety culture and driving continuous improvement across EHS and Process Safety Management. This is a highly visible position with genuine influence across operations, engineering and site leadership.
** What You’ll Do
** You’ll ensure full compliance with
** COMAH**, environmental permitting and corporate standards, acting as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and leading site governance activities.

* Key responsibilities include:

*** Leading regulatory compliance, reporting and Responsible Care requirements
* Managing environmental permitting, waste compliance and sustainability initiatives
* Conducting risk and COSHH assessments and deploying effective mitigation plans
* Owning accident prevention programmes and emergency response readiness
* Leading incident investigations and delivering robust corrective actions (CAPA)
* Supporting and auditing ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 management systems
* Acting as SME for Process Safety Management (PSM) and Management of Change (MOC)
* Analysing EHS data to drive performance and continuous improvement
* Delivering training and positively influencing behavioural safety across site

This is a collaborative, site-based role requiring daily engagement with operations, engineering and leadership teams.
** About You
*** Proven EHS experience within chemical manufacturing, ideally COMAH-regulated
* Strong knowledge of UK safety and environmental legislation
* Experience in risk assessment, COSHH, incident investigation and root cause analysis
* Exposure to environmental permitting, waste management and/or process safety (desirable)
* Experience auditing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems
* Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong risk-based decision-making skills
* Confident communicator able to influence and drive behavioural change
* IT literate (MS Office; SAP knowledge advantageous)
