We're offering a Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician Apprenticeship, based at our Oldbury Site in Gloucestershire, where you'll gain nationally recognised qualifications, hands‑on site experience, and expert support — all while earning a salary.
What is the Apprenticeship?This Government‑approved Level 3 apprenticeship provides practical and technical training in health, safety and environmental management within a highly regulated nuclear environment. The programme includes:
- 15 to 18‑month apprenticeship based at Oldbury Site
- A mix of day release and remote learning and support from your course provider RHG (Reach Hire Grow)
- On‑the‑job training with your site safety team
- Mentorship from experienced safety professionals
You will work alongside the site safety team assisting in all aspects of health, safety and environmental management — gaining experience you simply can't get in a purely college-based environment.

- ✅ Assist in incident investigations and the reporting of findings
- ✅ Contribute to risk assessments and safe systems of work
- ✅ Support the development and communication of safety campaigns and initiatives
- ✅ Promote a strong safety culture by engaging with employees and contractors
- ✅ Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and standards
- ✅ Contribute to continuous improvement activities to enhance site safety performance
We're looking for motivated individuals who are ready to learn and grow in a challenging but rewarding environment.
You must- Be aged 18 or over by 3 August 2026
- Have 5 GCSEs (grades 9–3 / A*–D), ideally including Maths and Science
- OR have completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship

Salary: Starting at £19,927 per year — with pay increases as you progress
