Boiler Engineer / Steam Plant Engineer

Tipton | £50,000 | Rotating Shifts

We are seeking an experienced Boiler Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business in Tipton. You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of the site's boiler and utility systems, supporting overall plant performance and uptime.

• Monday to Friday Rotating
  
  Shifts:
• 5:00am - 2:00pm
• 1:00pm - 10:00pm
• 9:00pm - 6:00am

• Operate, monitor, and maintain steam boilers and associated plant equipment
• Carry out planned preventive and reactive maintenance activities
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Ensure compliance with boiler safety regulations and statutory requirements
• Complete maintenance records and work orders through the CMMS system
• Support plant shutdowns, inspections, and improvement projects
• Monitor utility performance and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Follow Permit to Work procedures and site safety standards

• Previous experience as a Boiler Engineer, Steam Plant Engineer, Utilities Engineer, Boiler House Operator, or similar
• Strong knowledge of steam generation and boiler systems
• Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Excellent fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
• Understanding of boiler compliance, safety standards, and statutory inspections

• BOAS qualification
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
• Experience with water treatment and site utilities
