We are recruiting a Site Services Engineer to join an established manufacturing business, supporting the safe, efficient and reliable operation of its site utilities, facilities and essential services.

This is a varied, hands-on engineering role with responsibility for maintaining critical site infrastructure, including industrial boilers, compressed air systems, HVAC, water treatment and general building services.

Working as part of the site engineering team, you will play an important role in maintaining production continuity, ensuring statutory compliance and responding to equipment faults and breakdowns. This position would suit an engineer with strong site services, utilities or facilities experience who enjoys a practical role with a high level of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Boilers & Water Treatment

* Operate and monitor industrial boilers, carrying out routine checks on pressures, temperatures, water levels and safety devices.

* Complete scheduled water treatment checks and chemical dosing activities.

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance on burners, flues, heat exchangers and associated equipment.

* Respond to boiler alarms and faults, escalating issues where required.

* Maintain accurate operational records and support statutory boiler inspections.

HVAC, Compressed Air & Cooling Systems

* Maintain and monitor HVAC equipment, including air handling units, fan coil units and extraction systems.

* Maintain compressors, air dryers, receivers and compressed air distribution systems.

* Carry out routine filter changes and planned maintenance on refrigeration and cooling equipment.

* Monitor system pressures, air quality and general performance.

* Respond to faults affecting ventilation, compressed air and cooling systems.

Facilities & Site Services

* Undertake planned and reactive maintenance across the site's buildings and facilities.

* Maintain lighting, drainage, roofing, doors, welfare facilities and general building infrastructure.

* Carry out routine checks on hot and cold water systems, including legionella temperature monitoring.

* Complete minor repairs and help maintain safe, clean and compliant working environments.

* Support inspections relating to F-Gas, local exhaust ventilation (LEV), insurance and other statutory requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

* Experience in a site services, utilities, facilities or maintenance engineering position within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

* Practical knowledge of industrial boilers and associated plant equipment.

* Experience maintaining compressed air systems, HVAC, refrigeration or cooling equipment.

* An understanding of water treatment and statutory compliance requirements.

* The ability to carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond effectively to breakdowns.

* Good fault-finding, problem-solving and organisational skills.

* Experience using a CMMS or similar maintenance recording system.

* A strong commitment to health, safety and maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Relevant boiler operation, water treatment, F-Gas or other industry-specific qualifications would be advantageous.

What's on Offer?

* £50,000 annual salary.

* A permanent engineering position within an established manufacturing environment.

* A varied role covering utilities, facilities and essential site infrastructure.

* The opportunity to take ownership of critical equipment and compliance activities.

* The support of an established engineering team.
