Civic Engagement & Advocacy Internship – Kshetra Consulting; On-Site, Satara

We are hiring a Civic Engagement and Advocacy Intern for a full-time, on-site position in Satara. The intern will play a vital role in supporting public policy initiatives, building community engagement strategies, and facilitating advocacy efforts to strengthen democratic participation and inclusive governance.

• Conduct policy research and contribute to advocacy strategies

• Assist in developing policy briefs, reports, and community engagement plans

• Organize and participate in grassroots activities and stakeholder meetings

• Support media outreach and communication campaigns

• Collaborate on strategic planning sessions to drive democratic engagement

• Engage with local stakeholders and organizations to implement outreach activities

• Strong skills in policy research, analysis, and advocacy development

• Experience or interest in community organizing and civic engagement

• Familiarity with media communications and stakeholder collaboration

• Proficiency in strategic planning and report writing

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative on-site team

• Background in public policy, political campaigns, or governance is an advantage

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field
