Job Summary
To provide high quality nursing care and be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care needs for patients with a learning disability across Black Country Healthcare.
The Larches is now a Mixed Sex Ward - we are seeking to recruit 2 full time staff on six month fixed term contracts.
6 months in‑patients experience preferred. Unfortunately this role would not be suitable for a newly qualified without six months B5 experience.
Main duties of the job- To carry out all appropriate care interventions and assume the role of nurse‑in‑charge or care lead as required.
- To supervise junior staff, including students.
- To apply enhanced knowledge, skills, experience and leadership appropriate to the care setting.
- To play an active part in providing up to date, research nursing‑based care to patients with learning disabilities, which improves lives and provides a positive experience for patients.

To act as a team leader in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised programme of care either in the community or inpatient services.

Person SpecificationEssential:
- NMC registration
- Experience of working in Community and inpatient
- Experience of working with patients with a learning disability
