We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Health Advisor Clinical Lead to join our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service on a 12 month fixed‑term contract. This specialist role provides advanced clinical leadership within a predominantly nurse‑led service, supporting over 4,000 employees across the organisation. In this pivotal, exciting position you will help shape and deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based occupational health practice that supports our workforce, improves wellbeing outcomes, and drives continuous service improvement.
- Provide clinical leadership and expert guidance to the Occupational Health nursing team, supporting complex case management, clinical decision‑making, and mentorship.
- Support with the design, delivery, and quality assurance of safe, effective occupational health services, aligned with best practice and legislation.
- Manage a personal caseload and undertake advanced clinical assessments, including fitness‑for‑role evaluations and health surveillance.
- Use data and clinical audit to support service improvement and promote excellent clinical governance.
- Collaborate with HR, managers, unions, and key stakeholders to ensure high‑quality employee health outcomes and consistent policy application.
- Champion the organisation's values – One Team, Customer Focused, Inclusive, Ambitious and Accountable – in all aspects of service delivery.
- Specialist Practitioner in Occupational Health or equivalent.
- Experience delivering OH assessments (pre‑employment, health surveillance, sickness absence, fitness for work).
- Proven ability to provide Clinical audit, clinical leadership, supervision, and mentorship.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership to oversee and enhance the clinical delivery, design, development, and quality assurance of Occupational Health services, ensuring they are safe, effective, aligned with best practice, and compliant with SEQOHS standards.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
