Lead HR Advisor

We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Lead HR Advisor to join our HR team and take end-to-end responsibility for HR activity across a dedicated area of the business.

Acting as the primary HR contact, you will provide trusted advice to managers and employees, manage complex employee relations matters and work closely with HR Operations to ensure an efficient, accurate and compliant HR service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main HR point of contact for your designated business area.
  • Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability.
  • Provide practical, commercially focused advice on complex and sensitive people matters.
  • Coach and support managers on effective people management and the consistent application of HR policies.
  • Oversee HR operational activity, ensuring onboarding, contracts, changes and leavers are completed accurately and on time.
  • Act as the escalation point for HR operational queries and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure HR activity complies with UK employment legislation and company policies.
  • Support HR projects, change initiatives and policy development.
  • Provide HR data, metrics and insight to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.

You will also have access to dedicated HR Generalist support for routine administration, casework preparation, reporting and project support, allowing you to focus on higher-level advisory and strategic activity.

About You

You will ideally have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor/Senior HR Advisor role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Experience independently managing employee relations casework.
  • Experience working with HR Operations, HR administration or shared service environments.
  • Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A pragmatic, commercially focused approach to HR.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of a business area, influence managers and contribute to the delivery and improvement of a high-quality HR service.
