Sandwell Council is strengthening its borough-wide Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Service through a redesigned operating model with a single front door, structured triage and clear accountability for case management.
As Case Management ASB Team Manager, you will lead the personal ASB function, overseeing complex and high-risk cases including harassment, hate-related incidents and vulnerability-linked harm. You will provide operational leadership, supervision and quality assurance to ASB Senior Officers, ASB Officers and Assistants, ensuring lawful, trauma-informed and victim-centred practice from first contact to resolution.
You will be responsible for embedding statutory compliance, maintaining high standards of risk assessment and safeguarding, driving performance improvement and contributing to Borough and Town Tasking and hotspot problem-solving in line with national guidance.
This is a key leadership role within Community Safety, ensuring the safe and consistent delivery of statutory ASB responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Significant experience leading or supervising ASB case-holding staff within a high-demand public service environment
- Proven experience overseeing complex and high-risk ASB cases, including escalation to legal remedies and court processes
- In-depth knowledge of ASB legislation, statutory guidance and safeguarding responsibilities (children and adults)
- Demonstrable ability to use performance data, quality assurance frameworks and audits to drive service improvement
- Strong leadership, decision-making and communication skills, with the ability to chair multi-agency meetings and present confidently to senior leaders and Elected Members
