Delivery Lead Role - Engineering

South East / Midlands:

Are you an experienced delivery or operations leader who thrives in fast-paced, field-based environments and prefers to be close to activity rather than behind a desk? An established organisation within the Transportation sector is looking to appoint a senior delivery leader to support day‑to‑day service performance across a mobile workforce. This role plays a key part in supporting delivery performance across the business.

You will take responsibility for the planning, coordination, and deployment of multi-disciplinary, field-based teams delivering work across multiple live work streams. The role requires a visible, people‑focused leadership style, with regular site engagement and close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

This is a hands‑on leadership role, suited to someone who leads through influence, presence, and communication.

• Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary, field-based teams.
• Workforce planning, scheduling, and deployment across multiple activities.
• Monitoring delivery performance, KPIs, and reporting accuracy.
• Managing data and performance tracking using spreadsheet-based systems.
• Driving accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Operating within structured delivery environments with strong governance requirements.

You will be trusted to shape how the function operates day‑to‑day, improve performance through people, and make a tangible impact on service delivery and team engagement. It suits a proactive, emotionally intelligent leader who can manage multiple priorities, build strong relationships, and motivate teams working in dynamic, field-based settings.

Backgrounds from manufacturing, utilities, engineering services, or similar field service operations will align well with this role.
