Core to our continued evolution, our new Service Director of Transformation will be central to our journey. Our ambitious transformation programme cuts across the authority encompassing front and back‑office services. We strive to become an efficient organisation that consistently delivers for our residents, businesses and visitors, to be the caring Council that gets things done. Through your approach to change management you will enhance outcomes and eliminate waste, tackle inefficiencies and create consistency in our services.

You will ensure that we adapt as a council to the changing needs of our diverse communities and meet the expectations of our residents. Building a coherent approach to transformation across the organisation, you will embed a culture that places our customers at the core of our operational design. You will strive for best practice and evidence based decisions that innovate through modern technology where appropriate.

Through your leadership and direction, we will ensure that the resources we deploy have the biggest possible impact, changing lives and empowering communities.

With our values at the core of how we work, we are seeking someone with the ambition to lead transformation across the entire organisation. You will bring experience of leading multiple programmes of transformation, service redesign and operational improvements in a comparably large and complex organisation. You will demonstrate strong project management discipline and the ambition to innovate as well as be brilliant at the basics.

Experience of working within a political environment will be key. We want accountability and transparency in our project outcomes and build evidence of how we consistently achieve what our plans promise. Our transformation journey is evolving our organisational culture and changing behaviours, where everything we do is resident focused. But most important is a leader that embodies our values and has the passion to transform services that benefit our residents.
