An established precision engineering manufacturer supplying complex, high-tolerance components to demanding industries is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Programmer to join its production team.

The Role

This is a hands-on position responsible for the programming, setting and operating of CNC milling machines to manufacture components in line with engineering drawings, customer requirements and strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Online programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines

• Machining precision components to tight tolerances

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and cutting patterns

• Maximising material utilisation and minimising scrap and waste

• Handling materials and components safely and correctly

• Maintaining accurate production and stock control documentation

• Ensuring full compliance with quality procedures and H&S regulations

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives

• Assisting with training and upskilling of other operatives where required

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Experience with in a precision machining environment

• Strong CNC milling programming and setting experience

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Good knowledge of machining metals and material handling

• PC literate with strong attention to detail

Desirable:

• Familiarity with Heidenhain controls

• Machine maintenance knowledge

• Counterbalance forklift licence
