Overview
A Slitter Operator is required to join a multi-national steel firm located in Oldbury on a temp to perm basis.
Responsibilities- Set and run the coil slitting lines, processing steel coils.
- Load and unload the machinery and steel coils.
- Mark material with works information.
- Band processed coils when required.
- Operate overhead cranes to handle steel.
Prior experience running slitting lines within a steel processing company.
Shift DetailsThe position works days and nights rotating weekly (4 days / 4 nights).
- 6:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Thursday (Days – 40 hours)
- 4:00pm - 2:00am Monday to Thursday (Nights – 40 hours)
£15.86 per hour (days) / £18.03 per hour (nights).
