Process Operator

Location: Oldbury

CK Group are recruiting for a Process Operator, to join a materials manufacturing company, at their site based in Oldbury, on a permanent basis.
This is a shift based role. The hours are 7am to 7pm, with a pattern of two days, two nights, then four days off.

Salary:

This role offers a salary of 50,000, inclusive of shift allowance.

The Company:
Our client is a materials manufacturer specialising in manufacturing and development of advanced composite materials for aerospace applications.
This role is located in Oldbury.

Process Operator Role:

• Materials handling using Fork Lift Truck, lifting aids and manual handling. Materials include drums, kegs and IBCs of raw materials, intermediate, finished products and waste.
• Plant process monitoring including sampling and basic analysis as appropriate.
• Monitor of product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Assist in troubleshooting process operations, including equipment and process related issues.
• Have involvement in workgroup development activities.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• GCSEs grades A-C (or the equivalent). Maths and English are essential to allow understanding of technical instructions and complete the production records.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work well in a collaborative team environment, follow technical instructions and adhere to Health and Safety & Environmental procedures.
• Previous experience driving a Forklift truck would be beneficial, however full training will be given if required for a successful candidate.
• Appreciation of the risks associated with the handling of hazardous chemicals, conducting chemical processes at plant scale.
