Steelhaus Fabrications are looking for an experienced Laser Operator / Programmer with strong knowledge of AMADA laser machines and software. You will play a key role in producing precision‑cut components for heavy gauge steel fabrication.

• Operate and programme AMADA laser cutting machines
• Prepare and optimise cutting programs using AMADA software (e.g., Dr.ABE, VPSS, or equivalent)
• Set up materials, nozzles, lenses, and cutting parameters
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Carry out quality checks and ensure parts meet required tolerances
• Routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment
• Work closely with production to meet deadlines and workflow targets
• Ensure safe working practices at all times

• Proven experience operating AMADA fibre or CO₂ laser machines
• Ability to programme AMADA systems and optimise cutting paths
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and material types
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good eye for detail and high quality standards
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience with nesting software
• Previous work in a steel fabrication environment
• Forklift licence
• Experience with additional machinery (press brake, deburrer, roller, etc.)
